Political prisoners rely on messages of support and solidarity to maintain them. Julian Assange is no different.
It is easy to send Julian an email in Belmarsh using the following website www.emailaprisoner.com
The process is very easy, you just need to create an account and put a small amount of money on it (at least enough to cover 40 pence per email).
The email is printed out and given to the prisoner rather than them reading it on a computer which is good because Julian is being denied such rights!
It’s much easier then mailing a letter to the prison as you don’t need stamps, etc. If you pay a bit more a reply can be sent but I have no idea if Julian would have access to this facility given the harsh way Belmarsh treats him. Even a short message for Julian I am sure would be appreciated
You need to know:
Julian’s full name: Julian Paul Assange)
his prison: Belmarsh
his prison number: A9379AY
It is worth noting that it has been a number of years since any of Julian’s replies to supporters that wrote to him have emerged publicly. Classconscious.org published the available replies in 2019. It is not known whether this is because Julian is not up to sending replies or whether his mail is being suppressed by the British Government via its Belmarsh stooge Governor Rob Davis .
However, regardless it can only help Julian to flood Belmarsh with emails and letters to show authorities how much ongoing support Assange and to maximise the chance that some of the messages of support and solidarity reach him.
Its no secret that Julian’s mental health has suffered after the torture he has endured. Direct messages of solidarity can only help a prisoner in this situation.
