Davey Heller, contributor to classconscious.org has had two articles published in the progressive news website Independent Australia.
The 2019 Election and a history of Australian coups
On June 14th, the article “The 2019 Election and a history of Australian coups” was published. It discusses how:
“THE GREAT LIE of global politics is that far-right governments are gaining power due to an organic groundswell of support from below. The truth is that such governments are being fostered by sections of the ruling class — to divide and, if necessary, smash the working class in the face of the ongoing conditions of the capitalist crisis and the concomitant threat of socialist revolution. The recent victory of the Morrison Liberal Party on 18 May in Australia illustrates this international trend.
The article also explores the role of the Murdoch press and the U.S. played in fostering and installing of not just Morrison in 2018 but also in the ousting of Rudd in 2010 and Whitlam in 1975 to protect U.S. Imperialist interests in Australia.
Scott Morrison: Daggy dad or Australia’s Trump?

The second article was published in Independent Australia on June 16th, was entitled “Scott Morrison: Daggy dad or Australia’s Trump“.
The article explored the parallels between the election of Morrison and Trump in terms of how a far right take occurred of both the Republicans and the Liberal Party and how both the Labor Party and the Democrats have lost the trust of the working class by moving to the right as well.
The essential point of the article is that:
Workers in Australia will not be able to find any progressive path forward through the Parliamentary system but must join with their class sisters and brothers internationally in a united struggle against the far-right.
Class-Consciuous and its contributors are proud to be playing a role in spreading a Marxist perspective through its actions within campaigns such as the Free Assange and Manning campaign, through the writings on this site and also through the publishing of articles on other platforms.
Congrats, Davey.
